Recently, Liu Jie, Vice President of Li Auto, shared a photo of the new Li Auto L6 on social media, captioning it, "The 'Black Warrior' aesthetic looks fantastic!" The new Li Auto L6 is set to launch in July, featuring comprehensive product upgrades. These include a completely revamped exterior design, an optional quad-LiDAR configuration, and a high-capacity battery pack that significantly boosts pure electric range, further enhancing the vehicle's competitiveness.

Looking at the newly revealed photos of the actual vehicle, the new Li Auto L6 is expected to offer a "Black Warrior" edition; beyond the black exterior paint, it is likely to feature details such as blacked-out wheels. The rear of the new Li Auto L6 largely retains the design language of the current model, with a full-width taillight that creates a visually wider stance; a notable change, however, is the relocation of the license plate mount to the tailgate area.

The new Li L6 retains the brand's signature design language, with an overall styling that aligns with the Li L9. The active front grille has been specially optimized, enhancing its visual appeal. Smart sensing hardware has also been upgraded; in addition to the front-mounted LiDAR, optional side and rear radars are available to complete a four-LiDAR sensing setup, matching the hardware standards of the Li L9. Details of the vehicle body have been refined as well, featuring new semi-concealed door handles that reduce aerodynamic drag while improving safety.

In terms of dimensions, the new vehicle measures 4,935 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,735 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm. Compared to the current model, the length has increased by 10 mm, while the width, height, and wheelbase remain unchanged; it is positioned as a large five-seater SUV.
In terms of powertrain, the new vehicle is equipped with a 1.5T extended-range system featuring a range extender with a maximum output of 113 kW. The top speed has been increased from the current 180 km/h to 200 km/h. A key highlight of this upgrade is the range, with the battery pack capacity rising from the current 36.8 kWh to 51 kWh. Regarding range specifications, the new model offers a WLTC pure-electric range of 234 km—a significant improvement over the current model's 182 km (WLTC) and 212 km (CLTC)—thereby substantially extending the distance possible for daily all-electric city commuting.
