2026 Chengdu Motor Show Preview: Fang Cheng Bao "Titanium 9" (Tai 9) Spotted Ahead of Debut

On August 20, ahead of the 2026 Chengdu Motor Show, we captured photos of the actual Fangchengbao "Titan 9" (Tai 9). As the flagship large SUV of the "Titan" series, the model has already been filed with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; it features a six-seat interior layout and is powered by a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5T engine with dual electric motors. The new vehicle is set to make its debut at the Chengdu Motor Show, which opens on August 21.

In terms of appearance, the Formula Leopard Titanium 9 adopts a square box body shape. The front face is equipped with a new penetrating ring light strip, which surrounds the brand LOGO. The lower front of the car is equipped with a silver guard panel and an active air intake grille, and the roof is equipped with a lidar. The side of the body follows the family-style design and is equipped with a suspended roof. The side shape is basically the same as that of the Titanium 7. The body size of the new car is 5270/1999/1850mm, and the wheelbase is 3130mm. The rear of the car adopts a sky-to-ground door opening structure and is equipped with exclusive taillights. The roof spoiler integrates large-sized high-mounted brake lights and is equipped with a hidden rear wiper.

In terms of powertrain, the new vehicle features a plug-in hybrid all-wheel-drive system combining a 1.5T engine with dual front and rear electric motors, utilizing the sixth-generation DM-i hybrid technology. The 1.5T engine delivers a maximum power of 115 kW, while both the front and rear motors produce a maximum power of 200 kW. Equipped with a 66.48 kWh battery pack, the vehicle offers a pure electric range of 310 km and a combined range exceeding 2,300 km with a full tank and full charge. It utilizes a unibody structure, incorporates the Yunnian-P Ultra intelligent hydraulic suspension system, and comes standard with rear-wheel steering, making it suitable for both paved city roads and light off-road driving.
