Four-door version arrives: Changan Lumin PLUS revealed; vehicle length increased by 222mm, with a potential market launch in November.

Following the launch of four-door versions by its competitors, Changan Lumin is set to introduce its own four-door variant, to be named the Changan Lumin PLUS. Images of the actual vehicle have surfaced online, and it is expected to hit the market in November.

In terms of exterior, the Changan Lumin PLUS retains the design language of the Lumin. The primary change lies in the front bumper, which now features an air intake design with a more cohesive, integrated look—incorporating a black decorative panel alongside a black air intake—while the signature round headlights remain a classic hallmark of the vehicle.

In terms of dimensions, the new model measures 3515 mm in length, 1715 mm in width, and 1545 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2200 mm. Compared to the current two-door version, the new model is 222 mm longer, 15 mm wider, and has a wheelbase extended by 220 mm—with the height remaining unchanged. These changes result in a significant increase in overall interior space, providing a more comfortable experience for rear-seat passengers. The rear design remains consistent with the current model, with the taillights echoing the styling of the headlights.

The interior retains the design of the current model while incorporating several detailed upgrades. Notably, the vehicle now features a column-mounted gear shifter, and the steering wheel’s color scheme has been updated to match the seats. The infotainment system interface has been enhanced, with a wider display screen. Furthermore, the door panels have been redesigned, featuring a more sophisticated color palette. While the seats remain consistent with the current model, the rear cabin offers increased space and improved comfort.

In terms of the powertrain, it remains unchanged from the current model, featuring a single motor with a maximum output of 35 kW and a peak torque of 85 N·m. The CLTC-rated pure electric range options remain 205 km and 301 km. The vehicle supports fast charging, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in 35 minutes.
