Welcome to Hebei Opportunity Co., Ltd
On July 13, we obtained official teaser images of the Qin MAX, a mid-size sedan from BYD. The vehicle has already completed the filing process with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT); it will be available in both plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions and will feature fast-charging capabilities. Additionally, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, it is positioned above the Qin L in the lineup.

In terms of exterior design, the vehicle adopts the brand's signature styling; the sharp, upward-sweeping headlights paired with a closed-off front grille give it a highly recognizable look. Meanwhile, the inclusion of a three-section air intake adds a touch of sportiness. Regarding dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,866 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm.

Viewed from the side, the vehicle features semi-concealed door handles and multi-spoke wheels; these elements streamline the side profile and create a premium aesthetic. At the rear, the design is refined, incorporating ribbon-like illuminated patterns that exude a high-tech feel when lit.

In terms of powertrain, the plug-in hybrid version features a system combining a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with an electric motor; the engine delivers a maximum power of 74 kW, while the motor produces 175 kW, supported by a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. The pure electric version utilizes a single motor with peak power outputs of 120 kW or 240 kW and battery capacities of 52.868 kWh or 64.315 kWh, corresponding to CLTC ranges of 530 km and 630 km, respectively. Regarding charging, the Qin MAX incorporates BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and proprietary "Ace" flash-charging technology. Based on real-world data from existing BYD models with this technology, the vehicle can fast-charge from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes and from 10% to 97% in only 9 minutes; even in extreme cold conditions as low as -30°C, the charging time increases by merely 3 minutes.
