We have recently learned that the Fangchengbao Bao 9—which made its debut at the Chengdu Motor Show—is set to officially launch in the fourth quarter of this year. As the flagship model of the Fangchengbao "Bao" series, it retains the family's signature boxy styling. Positioned as a large plug-in hybrid SUV featuring a six-seat layout, it is powered by the sixth-generation DM-i hybrid system and offers a pure electric range of 310 km (WLTC cycle).

In terms of appearance, the Fang Cheng Bao "Titanium 9" features a boxy design. The front fascia incorporates a new full-width, ring-shaped light strip that encircles the brand logo. The lower front section is equipped with a silver skid plate and an active grille shutter, while a LiDAR unit is mounted on the roof.

The vehicle's profile features the brand's signature design language and a floating roof, with body lines consistent with the "Titan 7." It combines a sculpted waistline with flared wheel arches and adopts a structure characterized by a short front overhang and a long rear overhang. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,270 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,850 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm; it offers an approach angle of 19° and a departure angle of 22°, along with a variety of wheel options in both 21-inch and 22-inch sizes.

The rear features a split-opening tailgate design and is equipped with unique taillights, a roof spoiler with an integrated high-mounted brake light, and a hidden rear wiper. The vehicle offers three seating configurations—5-seat, 6-seat, and 7-seat—with third-row seats that can be fully folded down across the entire lineup.

In terms of the chassis, the new vehicle features a unibody structure and is equipped with the DiSus-P Ultra intelligent hydraulic suspension system; a rear-wheel steering system comes standard across the lineup, making it suitable for both urban driving and light off-road scenarios.

In terms of powertrain, the new vehicle features a plug-in hybrid all-wheel-drive system combining a 1.5T engine with dual front and rear electric motors, utilizing the sixth-generation DM-i hybrid technology. The 1.5T engine delivers a maximum power of 115 kW, while the combined output of the front and rear motors reaches 400 kW. Equipped with a 66.48 kWh battery pack, the vehicle offers a pure electric range of 310 km (WLTC cycle) and a combined range exceeding 1,600 km with a full tank and full charge.
