Recently, teaser images of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class were released. Mercedes-Benz officials stated that this major redesign will involve significant changes, with over 50% of the vehicle being redesigned, including approximately 2,700 new parts. The new car will debut on January 29th, coinciding with Mercedes-Benz's 140th anniversary. It will feature a completely new design, real-time performance upgrades, and the new MB.OS operating system.

In terms of appearance, the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class features a 20% larger grille, with the outer frame and Mercedes-Benz emblem now illuminated. The headlights consist of the Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star emblem and horizontal daytime running lights. The entire front bumper has also been redesigned to enhance its sporty look. The side profile retains the classic Mercedes-Benz silhouette, but introduces larger wheels. The taillights have also been redesigned, incorporating a new three-pointed star taillight design.

Inside, Mercedes-Benz unveiled its new MB.OS operating system, featuring a large, high-resolution central control screen. It's the first model to utilize a completely self-developed software architecture, a human-centric system rather than a novelty. The system integrates 27 sensors and expands the voice control system. The rear seats have been redesigned for improved ergonomics.

The air suspension has been further improved, enabling it to more intelligently adapt to long stretches of uneven road surfaces. GPS records the locations of rough roads, and Mercedes vehicles equipped with the same software can use this data to adjust the suspension in advance when passing through those locations again.
Mercedes-Benz has stated that it has developed a brand-new V8 engine to meet stringent European emissions standards. The current Maybach S 580's 4.0T twin-turbocharged V8 engine (M176) will be replaced by the new M177 engine, still a 4.0-liter displacement, but with twin turbochargers and a mild-hybrid system. The combined output will be increased to 611 horsepower, replacing the current V12 engine, and the 0-62 mph acceleration time will be reduced to nearly 4 seconds. The S580e's gasoline six-cylinder engine will see its power increase from 367 horsepower to 449 horsepower, while the electric motor will have a maximum output of 163 horsepower (up from the previous 150 horsepower), resulting in a combined output of 585 horsepower.
