Pure V8 power returns; new gasoline-powered BMW M760 spy photos revealed, expected to launch in mid-2027.

Recently, spy photos of the new gasoline-powered BMW M760 have surfaced, announcing the return of the pure V8 engine. It is expected to be officially released in mid-2027. The vehicle will retain the styling of the mid-cycle facelift 7 Series, while incorporating more aggressive and sporty features.

While BMW boasts numerous M-series models, the bottom line for the 7 Series remains unwavering: this high-end large sedan will never display an M7 badge on its tailgate. BMW believes that this type of vehicle should not be pushed to the extreme of sportiness; luxury and comfort are its core priorities. Officially, M Performance represents the performance ceiling the 7 Series can reach.

In terms of appearance, the M760 features numerous high-gloss black exclusive trim pieces. Slim headlight trim strips, a large grille frame, a central air intake in the front bumper, side skirts, side mirror housings, door handles, window trim, a rear spoiler, and the entire rear bumper assembly are all sport-tuned. The smoked taillights and quad exhaust layout further accentuate its aggressive presence.

In terms of power, the new BMW M760 is expected to be equipped with a 4.4T twin-turbocharged V8 engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and xDrive all-wheel drive system. For reference, the previous M760 model was equipped with a 6.6T twin-turbocharged V12 engine, with a maximum power of 585 horsepower, a maximum torque of 850 N·m, and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.8 seconds.
