Dongfeng Aeolus recently released official exterior images of the Aeolus L8Y, the first model in its all-new L-series. Positioned as offering the "most comfortable cabin in its class," the vehicle features comprehensive upgrades to interior quality and the overall driving and riding experience.

In terms of exterior design, the new vehicle adopts the Aeolus family styling; a full-width front LED light bar connects to the sharp headlight clusters on either side, and the Dongfeng logo is prominently displayed on the front fascia. The front bumper features a large air intake, complemented by vertical air vents on both sides.

Viewed from the side, the new vehicle features a bold, dual-section character line design and traditional door handles, while the front and rear fenders create a wide-body visual effect. Additionally, the car adopts a sloping roofline paired with five-spoke wheels, further highlighting its youthful character.

At the rear, the new vehicle features a two-piece roof spoiler with integrated dual high-mounted brake lights. The taillight assembly adopts a full-width design, with the main light units on either side featuring a three-cluster array layout that is highly distinctive when illuminated. Additionally, the rear section utilizes a contrasting color scheme and a recessed license plate housing, further enhancing the visual depth and layering of the vehicle's tail.

Dongfeng Aeolus has previously set a sales target of 220,000 units for 2026, representing an increase of nearly 60% over the 2025 target of 138,000 units. Four new models are scheduled for launch in the second half of the year; notably, the "L" series of new energy family vehicles will see the introduction of three new models—the Aeolus L8Y, L8+, and L9. Additionally, the all-new Aeolus E80 model is set to be launched, targeting the mobility services market.
