More than 50% of the entire new car of the mid-term facelift of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class will be redesigned, with approximately 2,700 new parts. The new car will be unveiled on January 30 (Beijing time) on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the founding of Mercedes-Benz. In terms of appearance, the size of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class grille has increased by 20%. The outer frame of the grille and the Mercedes-Benz logo can be self-illuminated. The lights are composed of the Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star emblem and horizontal daytime running lights. The entire front surround has also been completely redesigned. The classic contour lines on the side of the body have not changed, and larger rims have been introduced. The style of the taillights has also been adjusted, adopting a new three-pointed star emblem taillight style.

In terms of interiors, Mercedes-Benz's new MB.OS operating system has been unveiled. It will be equipped with a large-sized and high-resolution central control screen. It is also the first model equipped with a completely independently developed software architecture. This technology is people-oriented and is not a fancy system. The system integrates 27 sensors and expands the voice control system. The rear seats have been redesigned and ergonomics have been improved.

In terms of power, the current Maybach S 580 is equipped with a 4.0T twin-turbocharged V8 engine code-named M176, which will be replaced by the new M177 engine. The new engine replaces the traditional cross crankshaft with a flat-plane crankshaft design. The engine still has a 4.0-liter displacement and is equipped with twin turbochargers and a mild-hybrid system. The combined power will be increased to 611 horsepower to replace the V12 engine currently used, and the 0-62 mph acceleration time is shortened to nearly 4 seconds. The power of the S580e's gasoline six-cylinder engine will be increased from 367 horsepower to 449 horsepower, and the maximum power of the electric motor will be 163 horsepower (up from the previous 150 horsepower), with a combined power of 585 horsepower.

The vehicle adopts a large-size polygonal front grille, which is decorated with honeycomb-shaped bright black elements inside. It is matched with the central RELY brand LOGO and the word Weilin on the upper edge of the front hatch to enhance vehicle recognition. In terms of size, referring to the fuel version, the car is available in standard box and long box. The length, width and height of the standard box model are 5330/1920/1890mm respectively. The length of the long box model is 5610mm. The depth of the standard box is 1530mm. The depth of the long box is 1810mm, the width is 1620mm, and the height is 515mm.

Although the car is positioned as a pickup truck, its interior uses a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a large floating central control screen, giving it a good sense of technology. At the same time, it adopts a light brown + black color scheme as a whole, and is embellished with chrome elements in many details.
