The new Xiaomi SU7 pre-sale starts at 229,900 and will be launched in April with a battery life of 902km and a major safety upgrade.

On January 7th, the pre-sale price of the new Xiaomi SU7 (parameter|inquiry) was announced, and small pre-orders were opened. The new model offers three variants with pre-sale prices ranging from 229,900 to 309,900 yuan, an increase of 10,000 to 14,000 yuan compared to the current model. However, a price reduction after the official launch is possible. The new car will officially launch in April 2026. SU7 customers who have locked in their orders but haven't received theirs can upgrade for a limited time until 24:00 on January 10th. Their original order purchase tax subsidy benefits will be retained, and production will be arranged in the original order sequence. Delivery will also include a free dual-dial watch worth 699 yuan. This new car brings comprehensive upgrades, including changes to exterior and interior details, optimized driver assistance hardware, significant safety improvements, a new motor for faster charging, increased range, and an upgraded suspension. The new car still offers three variants: SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max, with the SU7 Pro boasting a maximum range exceeding 900 kilometers.

In terms of appearance, the new Xiaomi SU7 has undergone minor upgrades. The grille at the front bumper has been redesigned. The SU7 previously had a Gulf Blue paint color, but now a Capri Blue paint color has been added. It has also been fitted with new 20-inch wheels. The wheel size remains the same, but the tire width has been upgraded from 245mm front and rear to 245mm front and 265mm rear tires across the entire range, which will give the rear wheels better grip. All models come standard with front four-piston fixed calipers, while the Max version is equipped with Brembo calipers, drilled brake discs, and low-metal brake pads.

In terms of driver assistance, the previous entry-level rear-wheel drive long-range intelligent driving version did not have a lidar and had a low chip computing power. After this upgrade, all models will be equipped with lidar and a 700TOPS driver assistance computing power chip as standard, which is an improvement over the previous maximum of 508TOPS. All models will also be upgraded with the Xiaomi HAD driver assistance system.

Inside, a new Midnight Black interior option has been added to the existing Obsidian Black interior. The steering wheel design has also been upgraded, becoming more similar to the YU7. Details such as the center console design and the stitching on the door panels and seats have been optimized. The area covered by soft-touch materials has been significantly increased, and the wraparound three-layer ambient lighting further enhances the overall quality. The physical buttons in the center console area have also been upgraded, resulting in a substantial improvement in aesthetics.

In terms of safety, the new car has upgraded from 7 airbags to 9 airbags as standard. Previously, the armored cage-type steel-aluminum hybrid body had a maximum strength of 2000MPa. This time, all models are equipped with 2200Mpa hot-formed steel door anti-collision beams as standard, and all models are equipped with "embedded roll cage".

In terms of power, the new models come standard with a V6s Plus motor, replacing the current V6 and V6s motors. Power output for the standard and Pro models has increased from 299 hp to 320 hp, while the Max model's combined power has increased from 673 hp to 690 hp. Previously, the standard and Pro models used a 400V platform; the new models upgrade to a 752V high-voltage platform, and the Max model has upgraded from 871V to 897V, truly moving towards 900V. Based on this, the Max model's 15-minute charging range has increased from 510km to a maximum of 670km, further improving charging speed. Additionally, the standard model's CLTC pure electric range has increased from 700km to 720km, the Pro model's from 830km to 902km, and the Max model's from 800km to 835km.

Regarding the suspension, previously only the Max model was equipped with air suspension and CDC shock absorbers, but the new Pro and Max models will be upgraded to come standard with dual-chamber air suspension and CDC shock absorbers.
