Three motors, 969 horsepower / upgraded driver assistance: official images of the new Avatr 12 released.

Recently, Avatr officially released images of the new Avatr 12 model, and the new car has also been submitted for approval in the latest batch (403rd batch) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's filings. It is understood that the new car will feature an upgraded intelligent driving assistance system and will offer a powertrain system with both a three-motor four-wheel drive and a rear-mounted dual-motor configuration.

In terms of appearance, the new Avatr 12's overall design is not significantly different from the current model, retaining Avatr's classic LED headlight design while integrating the high and low beam headlights into both sides of the front bumper. Notably, the new car's lidar has been upgraded to a top-mounted design, potentially featuring Huawei's latest and most advanced lidar, which will significantly improve resolution and detection range.

From the side, the new car retains the fastback design of the 2012 model. A lidar sensor is mounted on each side of the front fender, and the door handles are now semi-concealed. Various wheel designs, including 20-inch and 21-inch, are available. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 5020/1999/1470(1460)mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3020mm.

At the rear, the new car retains the closed rear window design, paired with an electrically retractable hidden rear spoiler. The taillights are single-bar style, offering good visibility when illuminated. The rear bumper features a sporty design, with a recessed license plate frame embedded in the hatchback-style trunk. The rear bumper is painted in a different color from the body and includes a rear diffuser trim panel (an optional sports package).

In terms of performance, according to the information submitted for approval, the new vehicle offers three electric drive options. The range-extended version uses a 1.5T range extender with a maximum power of 115 kW and a rear-mounted dual-motor design with peak power (rear left/rear right) of 200 kW/200 kW. The pure electric version has two layouts: a rear-mounted dual-motor rear-wheel drive version with peak power (rear left/rear right) of 251 kW/251 kW, and a front-mounted single-motor rear-mounted dual-motor four-wheel drive tri-motor version with peak power (front/rear left/rear right) of 210 kW/251 kW/251 kW.

In addition, the information submitted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also shows information such as the range-extended battery of the model. The model with product model number SC7150AABB6HEV will use a 52.01kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a range of 261 kilometers under WLTC conditions.
