JiKrypton's new SUV teaser image released; expected to officially debut in January/possibly named JiKrypton 9S

Recently, JiKrypton officially released a teaser for its new SUV, accompanied by the caption "Starting 2026 with the most stylish rear view." Based on previous information, the new model's internal codename is "Orca," and it was initially planned to be named JiKrypton 8X. However, recent rumors suggest it might be named JiKrypton 9S, implying a sportier version of the 9X. It is understood that the car is expected to debut as early as next month and launch at the end of the first quarter, with an estimated price in the 450,000 RMB range.

Comparing the teaser image with the JK9X after brightening it reveals that the new car will still use the "door-shaped" taillights, but with a flatter design. The overall rear end has a larger curve, creating a wider appearance. Furthermore, it will revert to a traditional tailgate opening method and will not feature a split tailgate.

Based on previous reports, the new car's front fascia is expected to retain the design style of the Exynos 9X, showcasing a sporty look through reduced chrome trim and a blacked-out finish. It will still be built on the SEA-S Super Hybrid architecture. Referring to the Exynos 9X, it features a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system with a combined power output of 1030 kW from its three motors, a 6C ultra-fast charging battery, an AI digital chassis, and air suspension.
