2025 Guangzhou Auto Show: Chery Fengyun A9 EV Makes its Debut

The Chery Fengyun A9 EV production version officially debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 21st. This model can be seen as the production version of the Chery Fengyun E05 concept car, retaining many design elements from the concept car. It will be equipped with the Falcon 700 intelligent driving system and will offer both pure electric and range-extended versions. According to official sources, the Chery Fengyun A9 EV production version will be launched in the first half of 2026, expected in the second quarter.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a closed front design, with relatively narrow headlights on both sides, incorporating multi-strip LED daytime running lights. Compared to the concept car, the headlights have a wider opening at the corners, better meeting the needs of mass production. Furthermore, the front bumper features vertically arranged air vents to guide airflow from both sides of the body, reducing wind resistance. The center of the bumper features a continuous trapezoidal design with a dual-segment active grille. The new car also features a large front lip and side panels, exuding a sporty feel.

From the side, the new car's overall design resembles a fastback coupe, with a streamlined roofline that smoothly connects to the rear. A lidar sensor is located at the front of the roof. The front and rear fenders and door panels do not feature exaggerated lines. The vehicle also features semi-concealed door handles and 19-inch low-drag wheels to reduce the overall drag coefficient. According to unofficial sources, the Fengyun A9 has dimensions of 4860/1890/1480 mm (length/width/height) and a wheelbase of 2900 mm, suggesting it may be positioned as a mid-to-large-sized car.

At the rear, the new car features a continuous taillight design, which also incorporates a large area of glossy black panel, increasing the width of the entire taillight assembly and enhancing the visual width of the rear. In addition, the rear bumper of the new car adopts a design in a different color from the body and is equipped with a rear diffuser decorative panel, further enhancing the sporty attributes of the vehicle.

The interior design of the new car has not yet been revealed, but it is expected to adopt a more technological design concept and be equipped with Chery's AI-powered intelligent cockpit, offering scenario modes for driving, riding, entertainment, and safety. In terms of intelligent features, the new car is also expected to be equipped with driver assistance systems such as the Falcon 500 and 700, including functions such as automatic parking, highway navigation, memory parking, and reversing with trajectory tracking.
