2026 Paris Motor Show: All-new Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai IONIQ 3 Officially Unveiled

On October 12, the 2026 Paris Motor Show officially kicked off, with Hyundai showcasing two models: the fifth-generation Tucson and the IONIQ 3. The former adopts the brand's "Art of Steel" design philosophy and offers three powertrain options—internal combustion, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid—alongside off-road-oriented XRT and XRT Pro special editions. The latter is built on the E-GMP dedicated electric platform; designed by Hyundai’s European team and manufactured in Turkey, it targets young European families and urban commuters.

In terms of exterior design, and based on earlier information, Hyundai has positioned the fifth-generation Tucson as its "boldest SUV." The vehicle features sharp, angular lines, creating a visual impact that closely resembles the concept model. It incorporates futuristic lighting elements that establish the highly recognizable, rugged aesthetic of an SUV. The front fascia features vertical "H-Edge" daytime running lights—inspired by architectural lighting design—complemented by an ultra-slim horizontal light bar that visually widens the vehicle's stance.

At the rear, it employs 3D prism-style lens taillights; when illuminated, they reveal internal textures that create a heightened sense of depth. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,700 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm. Compared to the previous generation, the length has increased by 60 mm, the width by 40 mm, and the wheelbase by 30 mm. The maximum opening angle of the rear doors has been increased from 73° to 83°, improving ease of entry and exit.
