Choice of pure ICE or hybrid powertrains! Teaser images of the Geely Xingyue L PLUS revealed!

Geely Auto recently released a teaser video for the Geely Xingyue L PLUS via its official social media channels, showcasing the new model's design features and announcing its upcoming debut. Officially positioned as a flagship mid-to-large-size intelligent hybrid SUV, the vehicle is larger than the Xingyue L and features a five-door, five-seat layout. According to earlier reports, the new model is expected to launch in the second half of this year.

In terms of exterior design, the Xingyue L PLUS retains the design language of the currently available Xingyue L; the massive waterfall-style front grille serves as the visual focal point, exuding a commanding presence. Extensive chrome detailing on both the grille and the front bumper enhances the vehicle's sense of luxury. Both the recently revealed spy shots and the official filing images show the Xingyue L PLUS equipped with LiDAR; it is expected to feature a more advanced driver-assistance system than the Xingyue L, potentially supporting high-level functions such as urban navigation assistance.

Moving to the side profile, the vehicle presents a poised and commanding stance, featuring factory-installed roof rails and traditional door handles. Chrome accents outline the side window surrounds, the bases of the side mirrors, and the side skirts, enhancing the design's sense of depth and luxury. Positioned as a mid-size SUV, the Xingyue L PLUS measures 4,955 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,769 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. It will be available with 20- or 21-inch wheels in various designs, including a solid-disc style that exudes an air of prestige.

The rear of the Xingyue L PLUS features a full-width taillight design that is highly recognizable. Compared to the Xingyue L, the rear styling of the Xingyue L PLUS is more rounded, and the extensive use of chrome trim further enhances the sense of luxury. Official photos of the interior have not yet been released, and we will continue to monitor for further information on this new model.

Regarding the powertrain, the Xingyue L PLUS offers two options: a purely internal combustion engine (ICE) setup and a hybrid system. The ICE version is equipped with a 2.0T engine delivering a maximum power of 213 kW and a top speed of 210 km/h, with fuel consumption ranging from 7.97 to 8.15 L/100 km. The hybrid version features a 2.0T hybrid-specific engine paired with a 3DHT hybrid-specific transmission; the engine produces a maximum power of 160 kW, and the vehicle achieves a top speed of 190 km/h, with a focus on fuel efficiency. Specific configuration details for the new vehicle will be subject to the official launch event announcement.
