Looking Sharp! Official Photos of the 2027 Toyota Tundra Released with All-New Off-Road Package and Multimedia System Upgrades

Official images of the 2027 Toyota Tundra have recently been released, showcasing a mild refresh and the introduction of the all-new Trailhunter package. Previously featured on models like the 4Runner and Tacoma, the Trailhunter package for the Tundra is based on the accessible SR5 trim; positioned and priced below the top-tier TRD Pro, it offers off-road enthusiasts a more attainable factory-upgraded option. Full pricing and specifications will be officially announced this autumn, with a slight increase in the starting price expected

The exterior updates for the 2027 Tundra are minimal: the turn signal positions have been adjusted, the grille and front/rear bumpers feature refined detailing, the optional integrated grille LED lighting has been upgraded, and RIGID-branded fog lights have been added; overall, the visual changes are subtle.

Upgrades to interior technology features are the core highlight of this refresh; the entire lineup comes standard with a 14-inch central touchscreen powered by Toyota’s latest multimedia system, supporting customizable home screen widgets, 5G connectivity, and "Hey Toyota" intelligent voice control. Additionally, a dashcam is standard across the range, capable of manually or automatically recording 20-second video clips using exterior cameras. The entire 2027 Tundra lineup has been upgraded to the Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 driver-assistance system.

The Trailhunter package features Michelin LTX Trail all-terrain tires, an Old Man Emu suspension upgrade, front tow hooks, and underbody skid plates. It also comes standard with hardcore off-road aids such as a Multi-Terrain Select system, Crawl Control, and a rear locking differential, while exclusive bronze-colored wheels and custom badging clearly distinguish it from standard Tundra models.

In terms of powertrain, the lineup retains the twin-turbo V6 internal combustion version (producing 290 kW) and the hybrid version combining a V6 turbo engine with an electric motor (producing 326 kW). Official powertrain details for the Trailhunter trim have not yet been announced; however, given that it is based on the SR5, it will most likely be offered exclusively with the internal combustion engine.
