Welcome to Hebei Opportunity Co., Ltd
We recently obtained a set of spy shots showing the all-new BMW 3 Series M350 undergoing testing. Based on earlier reports, the vehicle adopts BMW's latest family design language and is expected to feature an upgraded B58 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged engine. With a maximum output exceeding 294 kW—a significant increase over the current M340i's 284 kW—the model will come standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission across the lineup.

The new vehicle's exterior heavily incorporates BMW's all-new "Neue Klasse" design language, closely mirroring the styling of the all-electric i3; it features the same front-end design as the i3—complete with a more compact, connected, and blacked-out grille—alongside a large cooling intake positioned below.

The side profile retains BMW's classic Hofmeister kink, while the door handles have been upgraded to a flush-fitting design; the M350 version also features large sports wheels, an aerodynamic package, and the signature quad-exhaust setup.

For context, the all-new G50-generation 3 Series is built upon an upgraded version of the existing CLAR platform. It retains the classic proportions of a rear-wheel-drive combustion-engine sedan—featuring a long hood, an upright windshield, and a longer rear overhang—thereby avoiding the disproportionately short distance between the front end and the front axle seen in the all-electric i3, while fully preserving the stance of a traditional luxury combustion sedan. Regarding powertrain, the M350 variant is equipped with an upgraded B58 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged engine delivering a maximum output exceeding 294 kW—a significant increase over the 284 kW found in the current M340i—and comes standard across the lineup with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
According to the latest information, the new vehicle is expected to enter official production in November 2026, with a public debut likely occurring by the end of that year; it is anticipated to launch in the North American market as a 2027 model. Officials have confirmed the introduction of a 3 Series Touring variant; drawing on the success of the M5 Touring in North America, it is highly probable that only the high-performance M3 version of the Touring model will be sold there. We will continue to monitor and report on further details regarding the new vehicle.
