BYD Dynasty Network's flagship large vehicle—exuding premium appeal at first glance—revealed in the metal: available in both PHEV and BEV versions.

Images of the actual BYD "Dahan" have recently surfaced; the new model will serve as the flagship sedan of the Dynasty series, offering both plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions and positioned as a large-sized vehicle.

In terms of appearance, the Dahan continues the design language of the Dynasty series; the vehicle body is more elongated, featuring a full-width headlight design and a clamshell-style hood. Turn signals are integrated into the air ducts on both sides of the front bumper, and the vehicle is equipped with an active grille shutter and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor.

In terms of dimensions, the new vehicle measures 5,256 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,510 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm, positioning it as a large-sized vehicle. The body design creates a low-slung, sporty stance, while large-diameter wheels further enhance its premium appeal.

The rear of the vehicle retains the full-width taillight design, featuring internal light clusters styled to resemble a Chinese knot—a signature element of the brand's design language. The lower rear bumper adopts a three-section design to enhance the sporty aesthetic, with the plug-in hybrid model concealing its exhaust pipes within the bumper assembly. Other details include semi-concealed door handles and an expected rear-wheel steering system.

In terms of the interior, the vehicle adopts the design language of the "Dynasty" series, featuring a clean and sophisticated aesthetic inspired by ancient Chinese architecture, while retaining physical buttons below the center console. The interior style aligns with that of the Tang model, incorporating features such as a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 17.3-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch front-passenger entertainment screen, and a 50-inch AR-HUD (Augmented Reality Head-Up Display).

In terms of powertrain, the plug-in hybrid model will feature a combination of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor; the engine delivers a maximum power of 115 kW, while the motor produces 200 kW. It is equipped with a 54.489 kWh battery, offering a WLTC pure-electric range of 370 km. The pure electric model is available in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations; the rear-wheel-drive version has a motor output of 370 kW, while the all-wheel-drive version features front and rear motors with maximum outputs of 200 kW and 370 kW, respectively. Based on previously revealed information, the pure electric model is expected to offer two range variants: 800 km and 1,008 km. Additionally, the vehicle offers an optional two-tone paint scheme and comes standard with 20-inch wheels—with an option for self-leveling wheel center caps—while the pure electric model can be upgraded to 21-inch solid-disc style wheels.
