The Voyah Taishan X8 will begin pre-sales on April 22nd, featuring an 896-line LiDAR and a large five-seat layout.

We recently learned from official sources that the Voyah Taishan X8 is scheduled to begin pre-sales on April 22. The vehicle will be equipped with an 896-line dual-optical-path image-level LiDAR + 3 solid-state LiDARs + Huawei's latest generation smart cockpit, and will feature a 5-seat layout. It will be available in plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions.

Looking back at the new vehicle, its overall exterior design continues the Taishan style, with a closed front grille adorned with vertical waterfall elements. The headlights, lower grille, and radar are hidden within new black trim. The rear of the vehicle also follows the Taishan design, featuring a continuous taillight assembly with the Voyah brand logo in the center. In terms of dimensions, the Taishan X8 measures 5200/2025/1814mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3090mm.

The new vehicle will feature Huawei's latest generation smart cockpit, with dual 15.6-inch 2K displays in the front and a large five-seat layout. The second row is equipped with dual zero-gravity seats, and the rear seats support a maximum reclining angle of 145°, a maximum fore-and-aft sliding range of 200mm, and provide 32-point massage covering the neck to the calves, as well as a world-first kneading mechanical massage.

In terms of powertrain, the plug-in hybrid model will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine with a maximum power output of 110 kW. For the drive motors, the vehicle will offer two power versions depending on the configuration: the former has front and rear motors with power outputs of 150 kW and 215 kW respectively; the latter has front and rear motors with power outputs of 150 kW and 230 kW respectively. The new car offers an 800V high-voltage platform and 5C super-fast charging. The pure electric range will be 190km, 300km, and 310km, with fuel consumption of 6.8L/100km and 6.5L/100km respectively when the battery is depleted. The pure electric model will be equipped with a 120kWh battery pack; further specifications are not yet available.
