BYD's Datang debuts as a brand-new flagship SUV, redefining luxury and set to launch in the first half of the year.

On March 5th, BYD's Datang made its debut. The new car is positioned in the market above 400,000 yuan and is equipped with BYD's megawatt flash charging and other cutting-edge technologies. At the same time, it has been upgraded to a new level in terms of interior luxury and comfort. The new car is positioned as a large SUV with a 7-seat layout and will be launched in the first half of this year.

● New car features:

The BYD Datang adopts the latest design concept, looking quite futuristic. Despite its large size, it doesn't lack a sense of design. The new double-layer design of the continuous light strip illuminates the Tang logo together. The front bumper features split headlights on both sides, with a crystal style that exudes a sense of luxury. The lower bumper uses a trapezoidal air intake design, and the roof is equipped with a lidar system.

On the side, the new vehicle measures 5263/1999/1790mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3130mm, positioning it as a large SUV, larger than the Tang L. The new model will be available in a two-tone business style and a sporty blacked-out style (DM-p model). The business style model features disc-shaped wheels, while the sporty style model features multi-spoke blacked-out wheels. The new vehicle also features concealed door handles.

At the rear, the new car features a full-width taillight in the style of the Dynasty family, which has a more dynamic overall lighting effect. The central BYD logo can also be lit up, and the rear spoiler of the DM-p model further enhances its sporty attributes.

In terms of interior design, the Datang's interior is more luxurious, with both color matching and material quality reaching a new level. The center console incorporates wood grain trim, combined with design inspiration from ancient Chinese architecture, highlighting the warmth of a family car and possessing a certain design style.

The steering wheel features a new, thicker design with a better grip. The interior introduces a new three-screen design, including a fully digital instrument cluster, a floating central infotainment screen, and a passenger-side entertainment screen, along with a head-up display and a 27-speaker Devialet sound system. Below the center console is a wireless charging panel, while retaining physical shortcut buttons, behind which are wood-grain cupholders. The new car also features electronic door handles instead of mechanical ones.

The new vehicle features a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout. The second row is equipped with more comfortable dual zero-pressure independent seats, integrated leg rests, and diamond stitching to enhance the sense of luxury. The seats support one-touch reclining. The second row also offers a large folding screen, small tables, and a car refrigerator. The third-row seats are also electrically adjustable and have a seat heating function. The new vehicle will be equipped with the "God's Eye B" advanced driver assistance system, supporting assisted driving in urban areas and highways.

In terms of power, the DM-i model uses a single motor with a maximum power of 300 kW and a top speed of 240 km/h. The Datang EV model has a pure electric range of 950 km and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. It will also be equipped with BYD's flash charging technology, achieving a full charge in 5 minutes and a full charge in 9 minutes, with an additional 3 minutes available in cold weather. The new car will also be equipped with the Yunlian-A system, featuring a dual-chamber air suspension and road pre-aiming.
