On March 3, NIO founder, chairman, and CEO William Li announced during a live stream that the technology launch event for NIO's new flagship large SUV, the ES9, will be held on April 9, where it will also be unveiled. According to previous information, the vehicle will be launched at the end of May and deliveries will begin on June 1. Notably, the vehicle will be equipped with the first 5nm automotive-grade intelligent driving chip, the SkyOS all-domain operating system, and the SkyDrive intelligent chassis with deeply integrated steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering, and fully active suspension.


In terms of appearance, the vehicle adopts the latest family design language, making it look more robust and imposing. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5365/2029/1870mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3250mm.


From the side, the vehicle boasts a sleek design, with slightly raised wheel arches giving it a muscular look. At the rear, it features a continuous taillight design of equal width. Notably, as NIO's new flagship SUV, the ES9's technological highlights include three LiDAR sensors, the flagship-level AQUILA infotainment system, and the SkyTrain chassis system (automatically adjusting chassis height).
In terms of power, the vehicle is equipped with dual front and rear motors, with maximum power outputs of 180 kW and 340 kW respectively. According to previous declarations, the vehicle is equipped with a 102 kWh battery, giving the CLTC a pure electric range of 580 km, 600 km, and 620 km.
